IBHRE recipient countries now include Armenia, Austria, Finland, Jordan and South Korea.

IBHRE offers specialty examinations for physicians, which are each administered via computer-based testing. Exams offered are:
- Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS)
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - Adult (CEPS-A)
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - Pediatric (CEPS-P)
The scope of each certification examination is determined through job task analysis (JTA). Job task analyses are performed every 5-7 years to ensure the requirements for the profession and competencies for certification are current and necessary. Prior to the fifth year of the JTA, the Board of Directors determines if a JTA is necessary or not. If not, the JTA will be conducted before the 7 years have elapsed from the date of the current JTA.
