IBHRE Announces 2025 Ambassador of the Year
IBHRE-Certified Specialist, Sue Davish, Recognized for Paying It Forward by Mentoring Others
February 20, 2025, Washington, DC - The International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners today announced the recipient of its 2025 IBHRE Ambassador of the Year Award. This year, IBHRE honors Sue Davish, MSN, RN, CCDS Testamur, CDRMS, who uses her expertise in cardiac device remote monitoring to deliver top-tier patient care.
"Sue Davish embodies all the qualities that make up a phenomenal IBHRE Ambassador," said Tracy-Lofty-Brown, chief executive officer, IBHRE. "Her dedication to advancing IBHRE's mission is to be commended, which is why she was selected."
A Clinical Program Coordinator at PaceMate in Maineville, Ohio, Davish leverages the company's remote monitoring platform to help clinicians expand their expertise and stay at the forefront of cardiac device management. An IBHRE Ambassador since 2022, Davish serves on IBHRE's Professional Resources Task Force and employees her skills and training acumen to support IBHRE's Mentor Program. IN just three years, Davish has mentored 12 heart rhythm practitioners; and in 2024, she mentored IBHRE's first group of candidates for the Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS) exam at the Vascular Center of Colorado. In addition, Davish leads study sessions for PaceMate employees pursuing IBHRE certification.
"I discovered a passion for cardiology early in my nursing career, and was fortunate to be mentored by outstanding electrophysiologists." says Davish. "Serving as an IBHRE Ambassador has allowed me to pay it forward by helping practitioners who share my passion for the field.
Selected by IBHRE staff, approved by the Ambassador Chair, and recognized by the IBHRE Board of Directors, recipients of the IBHRE Ambassador of the Year award are acknowledged for their valuable contributions, including work on IBHRE committees, task forces, and special projects. Since 2016, IBHRE has honored IBHRE-certified specialists who promote excellence in the field of heart rhythm management. These individuals encourage peers to learn, adopt and practice in adherence to higher professional standards. In addition, IBHRE Ambassadors advise practitioners on how they can advance their skill level through IBHRE certification, obtain professional resources, and gain access to mentoring opportunities.
Davish has notable accomplishments. She earned her bachelor's degree in Nursing from University of Cincinnati and her master's in Nursing from Jacksonville University. She will be recognized on April 25 at Heart Rhythm 2025 in San Diego during the IBHRE Ambassador Meeting at 1-2:00 p.m. Pacific, in the IBHRE Lounge.
