IBHRE Promotes Continuous Learning among IBHRE-Certified Specialists
Washington, DC-February 13, 2023 – In observance of IBHRE Day, IBHRE and certified specialists around the globe are promoting continuous competency in the field of heart rhythm management. Last year, IBHRE launched a new certification maintenance program, IBHRE-C3 (Continuous Competency, Continuous Learning, Continuous Certification) based on a continuous competency longitudinal assessment methodology. As such, the Board is encouraging individuals who specialize in cardiac device therapy, electrophysiology and cardiac device remote monitoring to embrace continuous learning to reach greater heights in their career.
To date, more than 11,000 practitioners in some 65 countries around the globe are IBHRE certified. These individuals include doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, industry professionals, and members of academia who have earned one or more of the following credentials:
- Certified Cardiac Device Specialists (CCDS)
- Certified Cardiac Device Specialists-Japan Device Representative (CCDS-JDR)
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialists (CEPS)
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist – Adult (CEPS-A)
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist – Pediatric (CEPS-P)
- Cardiac Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS).
“IBHRE credentials are often the differentiating factor for employers seeking the best specialists in the field of heart rhythm management, said Dr. Charles J. Love”, director of Cardiac Rhythm Device Services and president of IBHRE’s Board of Directors.
“By hiring an IBHRE-certified specialist, employers can improve their healthcare delivery system tremendously by increasing the knowledge, skills and confidence of their team, and by promoting higher competency levels at their facility,” he added.
Today, IBHRE-certified specialists celebrate their professional achievement, and educate their peers on the impact IBHRE certification has on the field of heart rhythm management.
“IBHRE applauds heart rhythm practitioners who have expressed a commitment to excellence by maintaining an expert level of skill in cardiology care, said Tracy Lofty, chief executive officer, IBHRE.
“In addition to delivering a higher quality of patient care, these individuals have demonstrated a commitment to staying abreast of the latest in their specialty area by embracing continuous learning and professional development,” Lofty added.
