IBHRE Revises Physician Certified Electrophysiology Specialist(CEPS) Exam Schedule
The International Board of Rhythm Heart Examiners (IBHRE) has announced that the Physician CEPS exam will be administered every other year. After the administration of the October 17, 2018 exam, the next exam date will be in October 2020.
After a lengthy discussion during the annual meeting of IBHRE’s Board of Directors on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, the decision was made to implement this change. “IBHRE will to continue to offer this certification exam to physicians who completed training or pathway choices domestically and internationally and are actively involved in the clinical management and care of adult or pediatric patients, ensuring the healthcare community that our certified professionals are among the most knowledgeable in their field,” said Dr. Charles J. Love, MD, FHRS, FACC, FAHA, CCDS, president of IBHRE Board of Directors. “The content of the exam will continue to be based upon knowledge and skills required for practice; it will continue to meet international accreditation standards.”
